People waste too much. I was thinking, many of my classes this semester are dealing with the issue of poverty. I have multiple text books all with at least sections, if not the whole thing, dedicated to how and why people are poor. And yet, they can't seem to fix it. How hard is this, honestly? People are poor, so you should give them money. I think it's only fair that the royalties for every book sold about economic development should go directly to some African nation. Hell, i'll even send them the book. If nothing else, it'll bore them enough that they stop making so many babies.

But anyways, back to the original point, which is that people waste too much. We have individual objects for every task that needs to be done. Have to brush your teeth, you get a toothbrush and toothpaste. Need to play with a monkey, you get a whip and six feet of rope. People need to learn to streamline their tasks. Do we really need that last two feet of rope? I think we all know the answer to that.

I just had a great idea. A lot of people say that they don't like to give to those TV infomercial people saying "Save the Children" because the money doesn't actually get to the children. In addition, the main problems in poor countries are unemployment, starvation, and a lack of foreign investment. So you say, "If only there was a way to fix all these problems at once...the world would be a better place." To which i respond, "There is, my friend. There is." What do hungry people like? (i'm looking for something slightly less general than "food.") Well i don't know about you, but if i don't have food, i order pizza. Any self-respecting college student will tell you that is the natural course of action. Now you ask, how would poor people pay for pizza? And where would they get it from? Well, the poor nations will have to build a dominos or papa johns or even a little cesaer's if they wish. This provides jobs for the community. But still, how will they pay for this pizza and perhaps crazy bread? The answer lies with us, the developed nations. whenever we see a pizza commerical, or we feel the need to directly help poor people, we call the international pizza hotline and have it delivered to a resident of our choice. Credit cards would of course be the best method of payment. There is no better method of aiding developing nations directly. I'm gonna start small with this, obviously, and maybe only take the program to Western Africa...but one day, Latin America, and then the Far East. I think a Noble Prize isn't out of the question here.

Alright, now that i've single-handedly ended starvation and poverty, i think i'll head to bed. Goodnight.
