Happy New Year

I guess you can consider this a life update rather than a good blog, but I felt obligated since it has been such a long time since I posted. My other blog got most of the attention since it was bowl season after all. By the way, if you haven't checked my other blog in a while, you should go there. There is a long piece I wrote that I feel is the best football blog I have written. But maybe I am biased. Let me know what you think.

So we finally got grades and I did much better than I thought I would do. Technically, I still haven't ever made a B in my life. They give AB's up here that are worth 3.5. I got me a pair of those, but I figure they don't really count. Still, this is the lowest GPA I've ever had by .16. I do not like it, but I'll settle, since it was the first semester of law school. So now we get to do it all over with the addition of panic attacks. Oh yes...panic attacks. Apparently, my body decided that being allergic to stuff was no fun because I could just avoid it. All the excitement was gone. Hence, to liven things up, it decided, "Hell, let's not actually make him die...let's just make him feel like he's going to die...for no particular reason." Well, quite frankly, I do not appreciate it. So far, I've had one in several restaurants, on a plane, in a car, at the movies (twice), and in class (three times).

For those of you that don't know what they feel like, let me help. Imagine you are driving 60 mph in a 35 zone. You look in your review mirror and you see a cop. That shot of adrenaline that you get is what I feel. Well that doesn't sound so bad, I know, but when it happens a lot and doesn't go away, it freaks you out. In addition to nausea and light-headedness, you get all tingly. You also develop a fear of isolation, and you don't like being in places away from medical help (i.e. planes). Well, saying "don't like" isn't really accurate. It's more like "absolute terror." So, long story short, this sucks. Hopefully, it will get better with exercise and time. My doctor apparently says that stress is probably the cause, but I honestly don't know what he's talking about. I haven't done anything stressful for a long time. I didn't move across the country from my friends and family, I didn't start law school, I didn't have to put up with two heartbreaking losses by Auburn this year (I'm excluding Wisconsin, because that was plain disgust.), I didn't get engaged, and I certainly didn't feel any career pressure. That is just plain silly.

So there. That is my life update. It really isn't all that bad, but the health problems just make life not as much fun as it should be. On the whole, life is good. So no worries. I'm not allergic to myself...yet.
